Dog Walks
Let me take the leash and lead your pup on adventures, while you take a well-deserved break or kick butt at work! Whether your pup likes to cover some serious distance, or take it slow and enjoy all the tempting smells, I’m happy to accommodate. Second dog possible for a $5 upgrade
Mealtime & Companion Visits
Whether you’d like me to drop in for a mealtime, or just a visit to give your animal some company and affection, I’ll spend quality time with your pets. This is a great choice for cuddles and playtime too. It’s also a chance for a potty break in the yard for dogs, and for the attention they’ll be missing when you’re away. My aim is to ensure that your pets feel loved and cared for (and to feed them and refresh their water if requested). You’ll come home to a clean litter box (if you have cats), an accident-free home, and happy, loved, well-fed pets!
Combined Walk and Mealtime Visit
A true treat for the pup, and extra support for you! This option is great for dogs who need both a walk and a mealtime. For dogs who only need a bit of exercise, 30 mins is a good option. For high-energy dogs or homes with multiple species of animals needing care, I’d highly recommend the 45-min or 60-min option.
Extended Daytime Visit
If you have pets who aren’t used to being home alone for hours at a time, but you’ve got to be away for the day, I’ve got your back! I’ll come stay in your home during the day to care for your pets and keep them company. Walks, feedings and playtimes are included in these visits if desired.

About Me

My name is Joslyn Wood and I am a professionally trained pet sitter, and the founder of Ojai Pet Care. As the sole pet care provider, I can ensure that every client receives consistently high quality services, exclusive to the Ojai Valley. I am committed to personalized and attentive care for each animal that fits their unique needs, personality and preferences, and aligns with their guardian’s ideal care for them. My philosophy is that animals are an invaluable part of our families and lives, and should be treated with love, respect, gratitude and compassion. They bring us so much joy and help us become better humans, so the least we can do is provide them with the best care possible!
About my background:
I was born and raised in Ojai and have spent my entire life around animals. I am pet CPR and first aid certified, and have more than 7 years experience working with animals in the U.S. and abroad. My lifelong love of animals began before I could speak, and quickly turned into a neighborhood business of pet sitting and dog walking at the ripe age of 12 years old (funny how we circle back to what we love). In my adult life I spent a decade traveling the world and intermittently living in China, India, Australia, and New Zealand. I had a pet sitting service in Australia, fostered animals in China, and volunteered at a shelter in Thailand. I’m happy to be back in the Ojai Valley bringing new skills and experiences to an old passion.
I am committed to building trusting relationships with both the pets and their human servants, and strive to be your go-to choice for all your pet care needs in Ojai. Let me be your pet’s second-best friend!

What you will receive
At the end of each visit I will send you a a short report about how the visit went with photos, and anything I noticed that I’d like you to be aware of (i.e. if your animal has an accident in the house or I notice anything unusual like parasites in the poo or the animal is licking their paw frequently, ect). This allows you to stay up-to-date on your beloved animal’s day-to-day experiences and wellness.

We had a very last-minute-not-so-simple assignment for Joslyn in helping me with our 14 year old (and newly diabetic) dog while my husband was heading out of town for work. Since I was going to be home alone with our baby, we hired Joslyn to come nightly to feed our pup, administer insulin, and walk/toilet her before their time together was over.
